My name is Jennifer and I am a stay at home mom of two adorable, aggravating, lovable, infuriating little children. My husband of almost thirteen years is a plumber by day, sleeper by night which means Mommy handles all the child-related issues including changing diapers, bathing, bedtime, story time, fighting off monsters in the middle of the night and my personal favorite- cleaning up vomit. He’s getting better now that the kids are getting older, but I still do most of it cause I don’t have a “real job” and he’s got to get up in the morning to go to work. Whatever…
So I met these two really cool ladies a couple of months back who introduced me to blogging. One of them said “Oh you should start your own blog! You express yourself really well!” Thus the seed was planted and here I am. I love to read blogs, especially momblogs because they make me feel like I’m not the only psychopath mom out there ready to throw herself off a building…
About me: I like to write, I like to read, I like to sing badly in the car and just about anywhere else I can get away with it without being hit with some sort of squishy fruit or vegetable. I like to embarass my son, and pine over my daughter(but I don’t play favorites). I have a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and have lots and lots of started stories, but none fit for publication yet. I could probably put together a book of unfinished stories if I wanted to. www.writing .com/jcmiller
I’m lazy to a point, (and I hear it from my husband ALL the time) but I’m learning how to cook and plan to be a famous gourmet chef one day (yeah right, we’ll chalk that one up there with my bachelor’s degree in writing).
I find that I am very anal about some things. Grammar, for instance. I love to proofread other people’s writing and was hoping to get a job doing just that when I got out of college, but settled for retail management and marriage instead.
I love my friends and family. My girlfriends are the best in the world at getting me out of my funk and listening to my whining. (I do that a lot too apparently) My mom is my best friend, I don’t know what I’d do without her. Between her parenting advice, free babysitting, and cooking instructions, I’ve got it made.
So this is me… to an extent. I’m sure you’ll learn lots of new stuff about me as we go along, but this is what I’ve got for you thus far. Have I scared you away yet?? If not, grab a cup of coffee and welcome to my world. Oh, and feel free to comment on any of my ramblings.
Oh, and you can follow me on Twitter @mastermindmommy or if you really REALLY want to talk to me, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
